Counselors

Core Counselor

Are responsible to evangelize and disciple their campers by developing a potential lifetime relationship and leading them to the path of Christ.  Required to lead devotions at night in their cabins.  Assist in the supervising of games, personal devotions, Bible memory, cabin clean-up, chapel, camper free time, and other activities. Must be at least 18 years old.

Assistant Counselor

Are to assist the core counselor in the cabin with necessary duties, prepare and lead one night devotional a week, and help supervise campers. Must be at least 15 yrs. old for 1st-6th grade weeks, 16 yrs. old for 6th-8th grade week, 17 yrs. old for 7th-9th grade week, and 19 years old for 10th-12th grade.

Volunteer Assistant Counselor

An unpaid staff member who assumes all responsibilities of an assistant counselor.

 

Kitchen Staff

Head Cook

Plans menus, keeps track of supplies, creates orders, prepares meals, supervises other cooking staff, kitchen staff, and dish help

Assistant Cook

Assists head cook in planning and cooking.

Dish Help

Carries out needed duties in the kitchen, helps with serving meals, cleans dining hall, loads and unloads dishwasher

 

Program Staff

  • Must be at least 17 years of age (Head Lifeguard and First Aid Person must be 19 years old).

  • Must be skilled or show an aptitude to learn the skills necessary to lead and design two elective skills. 

  • To assist the director with coordinating other activities such as team sports/camptivity and elective skills.

  • Be available to back-up counseling staff in their absence. May counsel for one or two weeks.

  • Will have the following  job responsibilities and certifications:

Media Director

Takes, organizes, and orders pictures, creates a slide show, completes other secretarial tasks

First Aid Person

Must be at least 19 yrs old and have at least a current CPR/First Aid certification. Are responsible for Assesses and handles all medical needs of all campers and staff (including collecting and dispensing of all medications). Is responsible for medical emergencies

Head Lifeguard

Must be lifeguard certified; monitors swim area

Lifeguard Assistant

Must be lifeguard certified; assists in monitoring swim area

Worship Director

Leads music time during chapel

Creation Director

Coordinates creation program which may includes animals and the creation elective

Archery Director

Leads archery elective skill; maintains archery equipment

Maintenance Director

Performs maintenance tasks and looks after upkeep of the camp
