Text Box: We have five male core counselors and one core counselor-in-training (“CCIT”) at camp this year.  They are:  Jake Text Box: Schultz, Jeff White, Chris Griffith, Joshua Davis, James McMahan, and Jason Benskin (CCIT).  To help you get to know them a little bit, we asked them to answer some questions and have printed their responses for you here.
What path brought you to GLBC?  “Friends at college and inspiration from God to do something other than a ‘normal’ job.” - Jake Schultz.
What has God been teaching you recently?  “Forgiveness is better than justice (Colossians 3:13).” - Jeff White.  “To let other things in life not get in the way of growing closer to Text Box: God.” - Jake Schultz.
What excites you about working at camp?  “I really enjoy watching the kids come closer to God and having conversations with them about God.” - Chris Griffith.  “Making new friends and seeing children/youth come to know the Lord and be impacted for Jesus.” - Joshua Davis.
What is your prayer for campers this summer?  “That they don’t remember me but who Christ is.” - Jason Benskin.  “That the message is spread and accepted, that they become disciples, that they retain the message and it makes sense to them.” - James McMahan.

Text Box: Professional goofball, Don Bursell, entertained us with juggling, illusions and slapstick humor and had everyone laughing until their sides hurt.  The Saturday morning softball game was a hit as well!
We are very excited about 2008 Family Camp so keep your ears open for updates—we’d love to have you come!
Text Box: We had a great time at Family Camp this year!  There were eleven families (totaling 49 campers) enjoying life at camp over the June 29th-30th weekend.
Marlin Bjornrud from Embarrass, Minnesota, was our speaker.  He brought a new and refreshing view to the lost coin, lost sheep, and prodigal son in Luke 15.
