Text Box: On June 16th, we celebrated the 75th year of ministry here at camp. Well over 200 former campers, staff members, families, and friends joined in the fun. Many brought pictures to share from years gone by and enjoyed reminiscing.
Some of the festivities included swimming, canoeing, and searching for a rumored time capsule (which wasn’t Text Box: found). A delicious barbeque was enjoyed and the event concluded with a chapel service.
While it is difficult to summarize what God has done here over the years, I think Edgar Hubin said it best.
“Seventy-five years have passed since the camp opened in 1932, and only eternity will fully reveal what transpired around Text Box: those campfires, along the waterfront, or in the corner bunks of those early cabins. God raised up this camp to shine His light...And we know that as we stay the course God will continue to transform lives, bring believers into conformity to His Son’s image, and lift up the name of Jesus to the glory of God the Father.”
Amen.
Text Box: The following are comments made by staff members as they reflect on the past week of camp.
6th-8th Grade Week
“When we talked about sin in chapel a camper broke down and realized that he can’t do it on his own and needs to have Christ make the atonement for his sins.” - James Aurand (Counselor Assistant).
“One camper said saying the verses everyday made them think and realize their need for God.” - Hannah Weinzetl (Counselor Assistant).
Text Box: “Three girls in my cabin trusted Jesus as their Savior this week and it was really exciting to see how excited they were about Jesus Christ.” - Brittany Bawden (Counselor Assistant).
3rd-5th Grade Week
“One highlight for me this week is that two of my campers came to Christ through chapel!” - Naomi Wegscheid.
“One highlight for me this week is helping my campers learn God’s Word.” - Nikki O’Reilly (Counselor Asst.).
1st-2nd Grade Week
“A devotion showing Christ’s Text Box: love to others caused many campers to decide to show more love to friends and family at home and some to desire to take a missions trip to work with people living in poverty.” - Alyssa Pender.
“God is rejoicing with us this week because all kids in my cabin came closer to God.” - Chris Griffith.
4th-6th Grade Week 1
“One highlight for me this week is seeing the passion for God and strong desire to learn about Him and His ways in those so young.” - Krystal Strickland.

Text Box: Prayer Requests:
For good health and safety for the campers, especially during the hot weather.
That campers would continue to grow in their faith outside of their camp experience.
For endurance for the staff—that they would finish the race strong.
For smooth transitions for staff members as they leave camp and resume their “normal” lives.
Continued unity among the staff.
Staff members would remain alert to the spiritual needs of the campers.
Effective communication from the speakers and that they would connect well with the campers.
Every camper would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
