GLBC is:
 | an evangelical, interdenominational camp that
ministers to children from 1st-12th grade, as well as Adult Ministry
Retreats. |
 |
a camp committed to keeping the cost affordable so
that everyone may come.

 |
located on the beautiful shores of Grindstone Lake in
Sandstone, MN.
|
All staff:
 |
must give evidence of personal
faith in Jesus Christ and be in agreement with camp’s statement of
faith and purpose.
|
 |
must be willing to commit
themselves to daily devotion and prayer.
|
 |
All
core (all summer) staff will be given the opportunity to raise their
own financial support in addition to the weekly compensation listed
for each position below. Support raising is not required. |
 |
Must
be available from June 14 - August 13th for 8 weeks of camp and 1
awesome week of training.
|
 |
Both
Core and Counselor Assistants must attend training week.
|
Assistant
Program Director
 | Must be at least
21 years old; prior experience in camping ministry or working with
children is preferred.
|
 | Are compensated
$200 a week.
|
 | Teach elective
skills.
|
 | Assist the
director in evaluating, discipling, and supervising counseling and
program staff.
|
 | Under the
guidance of the director, to organize and implement Bible memory, team
sports (cabin activities), camptivitiy, and elective skills
(music/worship, waterfront, nature, art & crafts, sports). |
Registrar
(this position has already been hired)
 | Receive and
organize the camper registrations. |
 | Receive, record,
and deposit all registration money that comes in for the summer. |
 | Is compensated
$200 a week for 10 weeks ($2000). |
All counselors:
 |
Are responsible to evangelize and disciple their campers by developing a
potential lifetime relationship and leading them to the path of Christ. |
 |
Assist in the supervising of games, personal
devotions, cabin clean-up, chapel, etc.
|
GLBC
has the following levels of counseling staff:
Core Counselors:
 |
Must be at least 18 years old.
|
 |
Are compensated $170 a week for first year Core
Counselors ($190 for returning Core Counselors.)
|
Core Counselors in Training:
 |
Must be at least 17 years old.
|
 |
May be in charge of the cabin or assist the Core
Counselor depending on what is needed.
|
 | Are compensated $125 a week as a CIT; $170 if
acting as the Core Counselor. |
Counselors Assistants:
 |
Must be at least 15 yrs. old for 1st-6th grade
weeks, 16 yrs. old for 6th-8th grade week, 17 yrs. old for 7th-9th grade
week, and 19 years old for 10th-12th grade.
|
 |
If 15 or 16 years old and counseling for their
first year, must be committed for at least two weeks.
If 17 yrs. or older, can be committed for just one
week.
|
 |
Are compensated $125 a week if 18 years or older,
$100 a week if 17 yrs. old,
and $80 a week if 15 or 16 years old.

First Aid Person or Nurse
 | Must
be at least 19 yrs old and is compensated $170 a week for 9 weeks of
camp; returning first aid person receives $190 per
week. |

Must
have at least a current CPR/First Aid certification.

 |
Assesses
and handles all medical needs of all campers and staff (including
collecting and dispensing of all medications).
|
 |
Is
responsible for medical emergencies.
|
Program Staff (Worship Director, Nature Director, Archery Director, Head Lifeguard, and
Lifeguard Asst.):
 |
Must
be at least 17 years of age (Head Lifeguard must be 19 years old).
|
 |
Are compensated
$170 a week for 9 weeks; returning program staff receive $190 per
week.
|
 |
Must
be skilled or show an aptitude to learn the skills necessary to lead and
design two elective skills.
|
 | To
assist the director with coordinating other activities such as team
sports/camptivity and elective skills. |
 |
Be
available to back-up counseling staff in their absence. May counsel for
one or two weeks.
|
 |
Will
have the following job
