2008 Schedule/Cost

 Campers register according the grade completed.  

New start time on Sunday at 4:30 PM

New end time at 7:15 PM on the last day of camp. 

 Register before June 1st and get the early bird special!                 After June 1st a $15 late fee will apply. 

6th – 8th Grade Week June 15th - 20th Cost: $125
3rd-5th Grade Week June 22nd-26th Cost: $100
1st – 2nd Grade Week June 29th - July 2nd  Cost: $75
4th-6th Grade I Week July 6th-11th  Cost: $125
10th–12th Grade Week July 13th-18th Cost: $125
K - 2nd Grade Week - Day Camp July 14th - 18th Cost: $20 per day
2nd–3rd Grade Week July 20th - 24th Cost: $100
7th – 9th Grade Week July 27th- Aug. 1st Cost: $125
4th – 6th Grade II Week Aug. 3rd-8th Cost: $125
     
Retreats    
Family Camp July 4th-6th  Cost $30 per person
  The maximum any family will pay is $100.
Women’s Retreat Sept. 5th-6th Cost: $35/$20
Youth Retreat Sept. 12th-14th Cost: $30
  Youth Groups with 10 or more - $20  
Men’s Retreat September 19th-20th Cost: $25/$20
   

*This is a day camp from 8 AM to 6 PM.  Campers do not stay overnight.  

Enclose full payment, if possible, or a non-refundable deposit. A $25 deposit is required to reserve a place.  Please add a $15 late fee to any registration received after June 1st.

A Few Details

Full payment including canteen money will allow for speedier check-in.

Walk-in registrations are sometimes available.   However, please know that campers might not get placed in a requested specific cabin (we do our best to place them).

Campers register according to the grade completed.

Registration and check-in will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the first day of camp. Check-out will be at 7:15 p.m. on the last day of camp. See the camp schedule to find out the first and last day of camp for your child.

Please call when canceling.  Refunds are only issued when receiving a call 48 hours before registration.  Please note that the non-refundable deposit of $25 will not be refunded even if calling before registration.

Clothing should be non-revealing and free of obscene or offensive printing.   Tight fitting or abbreviated apparel (midriff must be covered) is not permitted.  Special care is requested in swim suits – a modest one-piece suit for girls is required.

GLBC reserves the right to send home any camper that breaks the rules.

All money for canteen must be turned in during check-in.

To help prevent lost items, please mark your child's clothing with their initials.

Our registration fees cover about 60% of the entire cost of camp. Any donation would be appreciated.

Parent Information

Parents will only be contacted regarding their child’s registration if their chosen week of camp has already been filled.  If you would like confirmation that the camp has already received your registration form, include a self-addressed stamped postcard or envelope with your registration form.  GLBC will return the envelope in 7-10 days.

Campers are encouraged to write home. They also appreciate mail from parents.

Please do not call campers except in an emergency.

IMPORTANT: For your child’s security, only the person authorized on the registration form will be allowed to pick up your child at the end of the week. Please call the camp for any changes or late information.  When picking up your child, identification may be required.

Except during 1st-2nd grade and 2nd-3rd grade week, open Chapel is on Sunday at 8 PM and Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM.

Medical Contact Policy:  Parents will be contacted regarding an injury or illness with their child in emergency situations or when the child has seen the first aid person three times for the same illness or injury.  All medications should be turned in to the first aid person during check in.

8:00     Flag Raising / Singing Exercises

8:45     Cabin Clean-up

9:00     Morning Chapel (Wed.-Missions)

10:00   Personal Devotions

11:00   Elective Skills #1 – Nature, Music, Drama, Crafts, Sports, Swimming, Newspaper, Canoeing (Note: not all activities are offered each week and some activities not listed can be added)   

12:15   Lunch  

1:00     Bunk Time

1:30     Cabin Sports (such as basketball, soccer, street hockey, etc.  Also may include games like steal the bacon or other games with cabin)

2:30     Elective Skills #2 (same choices as above)

3:30     Free Time:  Open Waterfront - Swimming & Canoeing

3:30     Canteen Open

5:30     Supper

MONDAY - THURSDAY EVENING

6:30     All Camp Activity (like Capture the Flag)

7:30     Canteen Open

8:00     Evening Chapel (7:30 on Wednesdays)  

9:30     Cabin Devotions (Campfire on Thursday evening)

10:30   Lights out

FRIDAY EVENING

6:30     Chapel (Open to parents)

7:15     Check-out
